The night is dark and quiet This inner voice is silent, Left in the winds of passing thought, Like hidden sin, it's timeless.
The day is full of hollowness, Of vacant souls and sadness Though infused with all this energy Like me and you, it's timeless,
More likely so, it passes, Life's deafening silence recurs, The night is lit again by our past, By those memories of who we were,
But the stars are mostly dead, Perhaps something was just testing us, We dwelt in the dark to realise, That promise lies where there is emptiness.
